How do I know?

Well, I use to focus on building adsense income. I worked very hard trying to build a legitimate income setting up blogger blogs with google adsense on them. But as hard as I worked, my income never really grew to a significant and comfortable level where I can work full time online.

Best Blogging Sites On The Web

The blogosphere is like a barrel of mixed oats ~ give it a good shake and the finest specimens rise to the top. The best blogging sites are generally well-known, well-run, and have been around for years. Their consistent quality leads to people visiting them more, linking to them more frequently, and subscribing to their RSS feeds. The best blogs have built the most loyal subscribers amongst the all of the blogs in cyberspace.

Among the best blogging sites are BoingBoing.net and Kottke.org.

BoingBoing.net is a group blog, and one of the most successful ones of its type. It defines itself as ‘A Directory of Wonderful Things’, and indeed that is exactly what it is. Compiled and written by a cast of a half-dozen bloggers, BoingBoing sifts the web and publishes a fine assortment of varied things throughout each day. Like many of the best blogging sites, it has themes that it returns to over and over again. Amongst BoingBoing’s themes are esoteric watches, the fight against copyright and Digital Rights Management, Steampunk, and unicorns. These themes reflect the interests of its bloggers.

Kottke.org is different. It is the work of one man, Jason Kottke, and has seen many iterations over the past few years. Jason styles himself as a curator of the web, and one who is particularly interested in the liberal arts. While other blogs contain lengthy posts, rants, and diatribes, Kottke.org has maintained its place amongst the best blogging sites by publishing a selection of interesting links every day, annotated with brief comments by Mr. Kottke. While the posts vary wildly in theme and topic, it is possible to see some recurring subjects ~ fine food, gadgetry, the writing of David Foster Wallace, the scientific appreciation of sport, and great television.

These are just two of the best blogging sites to be found on the net. The best way to find more is to visit one of these, and start clicking, and to follow that golden trail of linkage until you find a blog that you love, and will read every day.

Quick Video Marketing For Easy Internet Profits

Do you want to do some quick video marketing, but need a crash course in how to do it? Well, good - you’ve come to the right article to learn! Quick video marketing these days is easier than ever; I have a few pertinent recommendations to make to help get you started:

First, make sure to familiarize yourself with the internet to the point that you are comfortable marketing yourself or your potential products/clients with it. If you haven’t gone anywhere, at least check out YouTube - just check out video articles related to quick video marketing to start with. Next, pay attention to the good points those people make (while writing down the solid gold you hear and chunking the rest). You might want to check Google video for the same sort of thing.

Next, bone up on guerilla marketing. It’s a buzzword, but if anything has truly changed the face of marketing altogether, it’s that. Just do some Google searches, and go back to YouTube for even more information if you need it. (I guess a local bookstore would work, too.) Try to figure out what your market segment is, what your potential clients are looking for (or what your clients are trying to popularize), and go from there.

Blogs are a dime a dozen on the ‘net these days, but setting up a blog PRONTO (the faster the better to help with your indexing by search engines), and then adding quality content to differentiate yourself from the masses has been a strategy that has worked for many (and will continue to do so, I’m sure).

Finally, you might consider setting up a (properly keyworded) main website to launch your marketing activities from (and to link back to in your advertising efforts). Just make sure to shop around when getting your domain name (hosting deals are bundled in pretty often these days, and the quality of services provided can vary WIDELY). If you are selling anything related to your marketing efforts, choose a cart application that is robust, secure, and potentially free. ZenCart is a commonly used free choice. Good luck in your marketing endeavors!

Blogging Sucks Without Doing This!

unhappysm.jpgAfter reading a very stimulating post about the importance of monetizing blogs, I thought to myself about the number one thing most bloggers should consider doing when blogging. A lot of bloggers miss this point that I am about to mention completely. They do not recognize the importance of this, nor the profit potential of this one thing that can take your blog traffic, as well as your blog income to the next level.

So what is this thing that I am talking about?

Well, let me be upfront by telling you that it is the number one asset that I truly believe every online marketer should be building.

And that asset is known as the email list.

It is imperative for bloggers to understand that the only way they are going to truly capitalize off of all the traffic coming to their blog is if they capture that traffic in the form of leads or subscribers.

Yaro Starak, of the Blog Mastermind, said it precisely. If you are going to have a blog, you should use it for the specific purpose of funneling targeted traffic to your site so that you can build an email list.

If you do not make an attempt to do this, then I am sorry to say this…but your blogging sucks!

Isn’t the purpose of blogging to build a loyal readership that will frequent your website?

If so, why not capture these leads as email subscribers so that you can pretty much guarantee that these readers would frequently visit your website or blog.

Every post that you create and submit, should in someway, promote your landing page so that you can build your targeted email list.

The reason why so many bloggers with very good traffic do not make a lot of money is because they do not focus on building their list.

Greater trust and relationships can be formed when you continue to provide informative content and newsletters to your email subscribers.

But to end this off, if someone gave me the choice of choosing between 1000 blog subscribers, or 1000 email subscribers….I would choose the 1,000 email subscribers any day.

That is just my take on it.

Please feel free to comment on this.
