Today, I was just watching a video that talked about the importance of building an email list. The video wasn’t too informative, but what I got from the video will really help you or anyone see the big picture when it comes to creating a solid internet business that generates a lot of targeted traffic. For your knowledge, questions on generating high quality traffic is what I get asked all the time! I try my best to make traffic generation as simple as possible, but most people still do not get it. They feel as if there is some secret traffic code that you have to unlock in order to siphon torrents of leads to your website. This isn’t advanced information on list building, but it is a tip that we can apply, and hopefully spill over into every other marketing method that we use.
As you already know, the purpose of this message was to describe the simplicity of building free targeted traffic. Just like the video stated, what you really want to do, within the traffic game, is place your content eveywhere around cyberspace so that you can expand your reach online. What you must do, is try to create as much written content, audio content, and video content as you can and sprinkle those various forms of content across the internet. This is what I mainly focus on everyday.
Also, in addition to that, you want to build backlinks to your website from every corner of the internet so that you can build up link popularity and authority. Doing this, will position your website strongly within the search engines, thus alloting you the power to quickly index your web pages and dominate the Google rankings. So here is a quick overview of some of the things that I do:
1. Create videos and submit them to the various Web 2.0 video sites.
In order to create a video, just order a flip video and record yourself rambling or discussing a certain topic that is related to your niche or market. You can also easily distribute your videos at no cost using a service like TubeMogul.com
2. Write Blog Post Based On Video Content
I will just plug the video into my blog post while writing a short informative description about the video.

Just choose between 8 to 10 different social bookmarking sites to submit to in order to bookmark your blog content. You can also use a service like SocialMarker.com to make this bookmarking process semi-automatic.
4. Do Some Blog Commenting
Try to comment on at least 4 blogs per day in order to get some blog traffic, while at the same time build some link juice to your website.
5. Article Marketing Pointing Backlinks To Your Blog Post
This is pretty simple. All you have to do is repurpose your video into an informative article and distribute the article online via article distribution services that will place your article in a bunch of directories, as well as a network of sites or blogs. After reading a very stimulating post about the importance of monetizing blogs, I thought to myself about the number one thing most bloggers should consider doing when blogging. A lot of bloggers miss this point that I am about to mention completely. They do not recognize the importance of this, nor the profit potential of this one thing that can take your blog traffic, as well as your blog income to the next level.
So what is this thing that I am talking about?
Well, let me be upfront by telling you that it is the number one asset that I truly believe every online marketer should be building.
And that asset is known as the email list.
It is imperative for bloggers to understand that the only way they are going to truly capitalize off of all the traffic coming to their blog is if they capture that traffic in the form of leads or subscribers.
