Family Social Networking - Good Way To Stay In Touch
Family social networking is becoming a big thing right now, especially since everyone is becoming web 2.0 savvy right now. It is absolutely crazy to see how far these web 2.0 communities like Myspace and Facebook has grown since the past 4 years. It just amazes me. But everyone is now recognizing the power of using social communities to keep in touch with those friends and family members that you do not usually see often. This past summer, I and my brother built a social networking community for our family so that we can stay in contact with each other and send photos and messages when needed. We are currently using a web 2.0 service known as Ning.com to build our social community.
The great thing about this project is that I am getting to know family members that I’ve never really met before. It is an awesome way to stay connected throughout the year until our next family reunion, which is scheduled for the summer of 2010.
So if you are interested in creating a family social networking site, then the easiest platform to use is at Ning. Ning is very simple to manage, and it gives you the ability to keep your family social network private. This is important because you do not want some crazy psychopath coming into your family network claiming to be your long lost cousin! Therefore, provide a safe measure for you and your family by making the network private.
