Craigslist Marketing Tips For Building Big Traffic

Unknown to many internet marketing newcomers is the staggering power of Craigslist.  Sure, they might’ve previously used Craigslist for a job search, forum posting, or personals ad, but there are some more very interesting ways to gain a massive traffic boost and build a gigantic email list when using Craigslist properly. 3.  Take advantage of services such as web proxies to interact with Craigslist.  This is crucial as Craigslist is a website that will actively check your IP address whenever you make a post. Using this whenever you perform your posts can be valuable to avoid the appearance of impropriety.

4. Create an ad posting schedule.  At this point, set up your ads, your Craigslist accounts, and post to the website no less than five times a day using each separate account.  This will allow you to post roughly twenty-five times a day or so.  Technically you can do more than this, but for starting out make sure that you’re posting all of your ads through your web based proxy to ensure your anonymity.  Remember; don’t post more than ten times a day with a single account as this could create the appearance that you are a spammer.

5. Begin posting only a few ads after you’ve studied the market demographic to which you’re appealing.  Test carefully and make sure that your headlines are eye catching and will quickly grab the attention of your viewers.  It’s also advisable to try and create a sense of urgency through your ads because you generally only have a few seconds to draw in your viewers.  Study some existing classifieds and see which ones reach out and impact you the most and what aspect of those ads you find appealing.

6. Always maintain a simple and clean presentation for your ads.  Ensure that only one link is added to your ad and send the prospect to a page that will allow them to garner more information or easily sign up for whatever it is that you’re offering.  Include no more than one picture in your ad.  Remember; the goal is to keep things simple.  Finally, close out your ad with a call to action.

7. To maximize the appeal of your ads, make sure to localize them.  This will minimize the risk of cross posting and also give your reader a feeling of familiarity while also putting Craigslist administrators at ease regarding your ads.

8. Regularly verify the website’s rules and regulations, looking for any recent changes in policy.  This will allow you to continue your campaign trouble-free while affording you years of repeatable traffic for your websites.
